Dr. David Hietala - Interim Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs
Dr. David Hietala, CLC’s new Interim Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, comes to the College for the current school year with more than 20 years’ experience in adult learning and higher education. Hietala has served as a College President in Kansas, Director of a Community Research Institute in Pennsylvania, adjunct faculty member in Education Leadership at St. Cloud State University, and most recently in senior leadership roles at Riverland Community College in southern Minnesota. He holds a Ph.D. in Adult Learning from The Union Institute, Cincinnati, with research interests in community and organizational development, program design and evaluation, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Chris Hadfield - Dean of Career and Technical Programs
Chris has a decade of experience as an Automotive Technology instructor at secondary and post-secondary schools, including department chair and program coordinator positions. Before teaching, Chris was a master certified automotive technician working for a GM dealership, an independent, a retail store, and owning his own business. Chris has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Automotive Engineering Technology, with a minor in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University Mankato and he has a Master's of Education degree in Community College Teaching and Learning from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.
Rebekah Kent - Director of Strategic Grant Initiatives, DOL/AME Grant
Rebekah Kent, JD, MS, is the Director of Strategic Grant Initiatives for the Advanced Manufacturing Education Alliance grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. Prior to her work with the AME grant, Rebekah held senior leadership positions in the nonprofit and higher education industries. She has a law degree and Master of Science in Health Services Research, Policy and Administration from the University of Minnesota.

Martha Kuehn - Formerly Psychology faculty recently named Dean of Liberal Arts
Martha Kuehn brings many years of experience at CLC to her new position as Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her background is in teaching psychology and faculty leadership, as well as research, counseling and mediation. She has a special interest in positive psychology, the science of how to build human strengths, increase happiness and lead a meaningful life.
Connie Frisch - Formerly Director of Nursing recently named Dean of Allied Health Recently Connie Frisch, Director of Nursing assumed the additional role of Dean of Allied Health. In addition to the Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing and Associate Degree Nursing programs, she also oversees the Community Dental Clinic, Child Development, Dental Assisting, Medical Assistant and Special Education programs. Dean Frisch hold a master's degree in nursing and is currently enrolled in the Higher Education Administration doctoral program at SCSU.
Keith Olander - Formerly Farm Business Management Instructor named Director of the Agriculture and Energy Center
Keith Olander is the new Associate Dean of Agriculture. His duties include directing the Ag & Energy Center’s 1500-acre crop demonstration operation and research facilities. He will also oversee the agriculture related programs including Farm Business Management, Specialty Crops, Viticulture, and Enology, and serving as the Director of the Center of Excellence for Agriculture. Keith has over 20 years of teaching experience in agricultural education. Keith also owns and operates a 300-acre crop farm that keeps him engaged in the technologies, challenges, and successes crop farmers are facing in today's economy.
