The Sigma Delta chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association’s national grand chapter, Lambda Alpha Epsilon, represented Central Lakes College at the 73rd nation-wide conference in Portland, Ore. Sigma Delta brought home several awards, including first place in criminal law for instructor Dave Stumpf (pictured), who also was named Regional Adviser of the Year by claiming the Jim Hooker Award for outstanding service to a chapter and/or region. Dave Davis, a professional member of the local chapter, won first place in physical agility. Other awards: Gae Davis, second, physical agility; Joe Klemmetsen, second, physical agility; Tina Perrin, third, physical agility; Aric Welle, third, physical agility; Amber Jarosh, third, criminal law; Stumpf, third, corrections. Benjamin Vitulli received a national scholarship award from essay competition. Next year's national competition will be at the conference in Memphis, Tenn.
