Four Central Lakes College students have been awarded the President’s Scholarship for Academic and Leadership Achievement at Central Lakes College. Receiving $400 each for the spring semester were Mike Hallgren and Sarah Frisch, both of Brainerd; Shelby Smith, Staples; and Krisann Gray, Crosby. The scholarships were awarded through the Central Lakes College Foundation. To be eligible a student must have completed high school within Crow Wing, Aitkin, or Morrison County or Staples-Motley High School, be enrolled fulltime at CLC pursuing an Associate in Arts degree, demonstrate scholastic achievement with a minimum 3.75 grade-point average, and show leadership through clubs or community service. The scholarship was created through a gift from CLC President Dr. Larry Lundblad and wife Karen.
