Tyler Erickson hauled in four passes for 110 yards to help the undefeated Central Lakes College football Raiders to a 19-13 win over Northland in the Minnesota College Athletic Conference state semifinal game at Findorff Field Saturday, Oct. 30. Erickson, averaging 58 yards per game, hauled in passes of 43 and 32 yards late in the first quarter as the Raiders' offense came to life on a seven-play, 68-yard drive. QB Dominique Corder finished off the drive on a one-yard keeper. Corder completed 11 passes for 203 yards and a pair of touchdowns, the first came when Barret Powell made agreat catch on a 31-yard score. The six-point win is Raiders smallest margin of victory this season. They had defeated Northland, 7-0, in the second game of the campaign at Thief River Falls. The 10-0 CLC team, now ranked 9th in the NJCAA Division III poll, will try to defend its MCAC title vs. the Rochester Yellowjackets in the state championship at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. John's University, Collegeville. CLC defeated Rochester 28-21 during the regular season, giving the Yellowjackets their only loss. This will be the final game of the season for our Raiders. Rochester hosts the North Star Bowl Nov. 20.
