Tickets are on sale for two unique theatre productions presented by Central Lakes College Theatre in Brainerd. One features students with disabilities, the other a cast led by actors age 7 to 16 and CLC theatre students in multiple roles. Opening Dec. 1 is the Theatre for a Diverse Population’s production of “When Life Gives You Lemons Make Lemon Meringue Pie.” This production brings together actors and theatre technicians with different diverse backgrounds, learning styles and life experiences. Shows are Dec.1 at 10 a.m., Dec. 2 at 11 a.m., Dec. 3 at noon and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4, with an ASL-interpreted performance also on Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. Opening on Dec. 10 is Adventures ’n Theatre’s musical production of Charles Dickens’ seasonal tale “A Christmas Carol.” A.N.T. is the department-sponsored young people’s acting troupe. This holiday classic story of greed and redemption comes to life on the Dryden Theatre stage with a cast of 25 young people ranging in age from 7 to 16 and a trio of CLC theatre students playing the 12 adult roles. The production plays Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec.11 at 10 a.m. with the ASL-interpreted performance at 2 p.m. All performances are in Dryden Theatre.
