Recent Donations to CLC Veterans Center

Flag Day Golf Tournament
Lakes Financial Services of Brainerd hosted a golf tournament at Cragun's Legacy Courses on Flag Day, June 14, to raise funds to support local veterans. A portion of the of proceeds were donated to the Central Lakes College Veterans Center.

The Center helps veterans, service members, and their families live enhanced lives through counseling, mentorship, and building stronger personal and professional life experiences through their educational journey and beyond.

Donation to CLC Veterans Center Food Shelf
The Brainerd Lions and Brainerd Community Action donated a $1,000 check to the CLC Veterans Center food shelf. The veterans food shelf is open year-round to serve veterans, currently serving service members and their dependents. Donations from community resources fill freezers with meals, soups, pizza and snacks. Donations are also received in the form of canned and dry items.

Veteran students may use the Center, eat snacks and receive a hot meal. It is an extra incentive to help make the veteran students college experience a little better.

Veteran students can take freezer items and some food shelf items home to share with their families.

Approximately 300 students are currently being served through the Veterans Center.
