When “The Woman In Black” opens on stage at Central Lakes College in Brainerd Nov. 4-6 and 11-13, it will be the first time area actor Erik Steen and CLC Theatre Director Patrick Spradlin will be on stage at the same time with the same production. The two have collaborated on several productions, with either Spradlin or Steen taking the directing chores, and the other acting. “The Woman in Black” is a two-person show, so they each will be carrying a hefty portion of the production’s load. Spradlin has directed Steen in at least seven different shows, including “Wait Until Dark”, “The Odd Couple,” “Sylvia,” and “Earth and Sky.” Steen adds, “It helps knowing and trusting your scene partner; Patrick’s not going to hang me out to dry.” Spradlin clearly enjoys working with Steen. “Erik had tremendous talent; I’ve got a great deal of respect for his work," he said. The play has run continuously in London for 21 years. “The Woman in Black” also features Cassandra Meyer in the title role. All shows are at 7:30 in the renovated John Chalberg Theatre on the Brainerd campus. Tickets can be reserved by calling (218) 855-8199 or (800) 933-0346 ext. 8199.
