The Staples campus commencement event was held Wednesday, May 14
at the Staples-Motley high school gymnasium. Approximately 140 graduates were
honored at the 2014 commencement program.
Platform guests included Dr. Larry Lundblad - CLC President, Chris
Hadfield – CLC Dean of Career and Technical Programs and the Staples Campus, Anna
Stevens – Student Senate Vice President, Justin Jackson – ATEA Outstanding Technical Student for 2014,
Kari Christiansen – CLC Vice President of Administrative Services, and guest
speaker Frank Frattalone – 1969 CLC Outstanding Alumni.
Central Lakes College Brainerd received 1,111 applications to
graduate from eligible students for the academic year 2013-14 at both the
Brainerd and Staples campuses. 300 students plan to participate in the Brainerd
commencement at Brainerd High School on Thursday, May 15.
The class of 2014 represents the 75th class to graduate from Central Lakes College as the college celebrates its 75th anniversary year. Central Lakes College's roots are deep in a tradition dating to 1938 in Brainerd and 1950 in Staples. Communities across central Minnesota are filled with CLC graduates.
