A new ensemble will be introduced at the Central Lakes College winter band concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23 in the Chalberg Theater on the Brainerd campus. The CLC Woodwind Choir, with conductor Chris Bolstad, makes its debut. Bolstad is a former member of the CLC Jazz Band and former band director at Pequot Lakes. The concert also features the brass and jazz ensembles from CLC, directed by Steve Anderson (left), who said the venue runs the gamut from New Orleans jazz to 70s funk. Concert soloists are Shawn Kobs, Pillager; Sue Kavanaugh, East Gull Lake; Mike Bender, Crosby; and Doug Durant, Brainerd. Seating is open with no advance tickets sold.
