The Central Lakes College Honors Earth Science class taught by Dave
Kobilka on March 29 went to Onamia to teach fifth grade pupils some aspects of
the hydrologic cycle -- surface water flow, evaporation, cloud formation, cloud
types, precipitation, and surface heating. CLC Honors AA student Tatiana Park of
Brainerd taught relative humidity as part of the service learning project.Tatiana Park of Brainerd taught relative humidity during one of the outside sessions. Other Honors AA students helped the young pupils prepare hydrologic cycle diagrams, photograph clouds, examine differential heating and albedo (the diffuse reflectivity or reflecting power of a surface), and study the principles of erosion, and create artificial clouds.
