If
social networking, to you, means getting together with friends over coffee,
this class may be just what you need. The Center for Lifelong Learning at
Central Lakes College presents “Spotlight on Technology: Social Networking
Simplified” at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 8 in Room E208 at Central Lakes
College – Brainerd Campus. Social networking has become one of the most
popular communication services, allowing users to share information, messages,
photos, videos, and more. It is also used in business, organizations,
education, employment and science research, as well as almost every other
aspect of our lives. Presented by Erich Heppner, this session will
showcase and give the how-to for the most widely used social networking
platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube. Safety and
privacy issues, dos and don’ts of social networking, and tips on protection
from viruses, scams, and more will also be discussed. Cost to attend this event is $5 for
non-members or free for those with a Center for Lifelong Learning membership.
Pre-registration is recommended and can be made by calling Bev at 218-855-8118. For information on The Center for Lifelong
