Whether the political process fascinates you or frustrates
you, plan to join us for this informative and educational presentation led by
professor of political science Matt Lindstrom. “The 2012 Elections: Who is
Involved. What’s at Stake” will be held at 7 pm Thursday, May 17 in Room E354 at
Central Lakes College – Brainerd Campus. Lindstrom is the Edward L. Henry
professor of political science at St. John’s University/College of St. Benedict
and the director of the Eugene J. McCarthy Center for Public Policy and Civic
Engagement. He is co-director of the CSB/SJU Washington, D.C., Summer Study
Program and co-director of the CSB Marie and Robert Jackson Fellows Program. He has edited and authored two
books and one encyclopedia including Encyclopedia
of the U.S. Government and the Environment; The National Environmental Policy Act; and Suburban Sprawl:
Culture, Ecology, and Politics. Cost to attend this event is $5 for
non-members or free for those with a Center for Lifelong Learning membership.
