Dr. Larry Lundblad,
president of CLC, opened the program stressing the importance of building a portfolio
of active involvement in as many college-related organizations and functions as
one can make time for amid academic pursuits. Job-seekers with degrees and a
record of engagement through honor groups improve prospects with potential
employers, he said.
Julie Jo Larson, a graduating member
of the CLC Psychology Club and Psi Beta, echoed the president’s theme, adding
that students owe it to themselves to research all manner of educational
resources – especially scholarships to finance college degree course work.
Martha Kuehn, Psi Beta adviser, led
the inductees with an oath pledging their participation in the chapter, which
serves as a prelude to a four-year college or university society for psychology
majors.
