THIEF RIVER FALLS - Dominique Corder hit Tyler Erickson (left) on a 17-yard touchdown pass for the only points in the Central Lakes College Raiders 7-0 victory over the Northland Pioneers Saturday. Erickson caught five passes for 68 yards and Corder threw for 136 yards and rushed for 54 more as the Raiders improved to 2-0. The Raiders outgained Northland 280-83, as the CLC defense forced three turnovers. "Our offense struggled to turn drives into points even though we dominated in plays ran and total yards," said Head Coach Greg Medeck. Jordan Laroche and Kaleb Anderson both picked off passes and Avery Smith recovered a fumble and recorded 1.5 sacks. Antoine Gardner and Jordan Moll each had a sack. CLC played well defensively, limiting the Pioneers to 86 total yards. The Raiders held Northland to 62 yards rushing. "We are seeing improvement in some areas," Medeck noted, "but we have not put together the total effort we are looking for as a team, yet. Hopefully that will come this weekend as we are finally home against Mesabi, also 2-0."
