Phil Krinkie from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities board of trustees toured the Brainerd campus of Central Lakes College on Friday, Sept. 10 during a two-hour visit hosted by CLC President Dr. Larry Lundblad. One stop was the Humphrey Center for American Indian Studies housed in the Skone Family Conservatory of the Jon Hassler Library. Trustee Krinkie of Shoreview has owned the Snelling Company, a heating, cooling and electrical business in St. Paul, for 30 years. He served eight terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1991 through 2006. Krinkie earned his bachelor of arts degree from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has served on a number of boards and civic organizations, and is currently president of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota. Gov. Tim Pawlenty appointed Krinkie to the Board of Trustees in 2010 for a six-year term ending June 30, 2016.
