The Central Lakes College Raiders had a tough night in their home opener on Tuesday, but it may pay dividends later in the season. The Raiders lost 3-1 to undefeated Ridgewater (5-0) and saw their season record drop to 2-3. Ridgewater won the first two games 25-16 and 25-11 before CLC bounced back with a 25-20 victory. Ridgewater then ended the match with a 25-11 triumph in the deciding game. Melissa Wildman tallied six kills and Rachel Pfeffer contributed 19 set assists to lead the Raiders' offensive attack. Wildman had 13 digs, and Megan Rakow finished with 12 on defensive. The Raiders host Mesabi Friday and Vermilion Saturday.
