Central Lakes College shared center stage with the Bridges Academies and Workplace Connection at the April 8 and 9 Commerce and Industry Show at the Brainerd Area Civic Center. Our faculty, staff, Business and Industry friends, and even a few students volunteered time for this free, annual Chamber of Commerce-sponsored event. Despite the first great spring day of 2011, turnout was respectable as a number of guests paused to watch demonstrations from Robotics and have some important health measurements taken by the Medical Assistant volunteer students and instructor. CLC occupied about eight display spaces thanks to its partnership with the regional program for recruiting high school students into education and high-demand careers that offer livable wages in the Brainerd area. Many thanks to all who donated their time at the CLC exhibit and answered questions from the public about the state's fastest-growing college. See you in 2012!
