Minnesota’s attorney general and secretary of state are the scheduled 2011 graduation speakers for Central Lakes College. Mark Ritchie, the state’s 21st secretary of state, will give the commencement address to Staples campus graduates in a ceremony that starts at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11 in the Staples-Motley High School gymnasium. Lori Swanson, the state’s 29th attorney general and first female to hold the office, will speak at the Brainerd ceremony that starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 in the Brainerd High School gymnasium. Approximately 600 CLC students are expected to participate, receiving degrees, diplomas, and certificates for program completion. Honor graduates will be recognized. Student speakers will be Latoya Ross-McRae at Staples and Anthony Allen at Brainerd.
